I would absolutely recommend Amika as a photographer for any type of photo session or event. She traveled up to Western MA to do an engagement shoot for me and my partner. She was very easy and accommodating to reach and set up an appointment. Upon arrival she was very friendly and asked us about what we were looking for. She spent an hour in below freezing weather capturing the most beautiful candid photos and I could not be happier with the outcome! We are looking forward to using her for our wedding and any of our other photographing needs. Absolutely wonderful experience all around!

Amika is an amazing photographer and a fantastic person to work with. She helped us capture memories from our surprise wedding and was willing to trek into the West Hartford reservoir (on a cold day in November) and was ready and waiting as our party approached. Her pictures really captured the moment. On top of being a great photographer she's extremely personable and fit right in with our family! She is very communicative and was very timely in getting our pictures to us. We are so thankful to her for capturing these memories for us in such a wonderful way! We would hands down hire her again and would highly recommend her as a photographer to our friends and family.

Amika and I often help each other out and act as each others' second shooters for weddings and on this day, she was fantastic. It was a very (VERY) hot day and we had ourselves a challenging wedding but she worked alongside with me like a champ. She is professional, always at ease, and handles unexpected challenges calmly. Having someone so stress-free on board during a wedding is such a bonus! Not only that but the work she submitted afterward was beautiful and exceeded my expectations. She really is gifted and has a great eye - catching details and capturing truly great moments! Amika did a beautiful job capturing our wedding and surrounding events. She not only photographs a wedding and has the amazing ability to capture a feeling in a photo that brings together the essence of the moment. When I look at the photos I feel like I am back on the beach in Mexico excited to get married all over again. I do not know how she knows how to take a photo at the perfect moment that shows you exactly what the person was feelings, but she does. You see the emotion, you relive the feeling, and I can enjoy the memories for years to come.

I called Amika last minute on a busy father’s day weekend to take pictures of our 1 year old daughter and help coordinate a surprise proposal to my now fiancé and she was absolutely amazing. She was very personable and friendly and worked well with out daughter, she even brought a few outfits and photo props to get the most perfect pictures! The editing was amazing as well. Amika was very easy to work with, very down to earth. We started with a virtual meeting to discuss with Amika what kind of photos we wanted to remember our wedding day. Her price was very reasonable. She made the 90-minute trip to the venue ahead of the event day to get her bearings, which was nice, so we knew we didn't have to worry about her getting lost or arriving on time, etc. She agreed to blend into the background while photographing so guests would hardly know she was there. The photos were of candid shots, mostly, which is what we wanted. She captured the day beautifully. We did do much of the editing of the photos ourselves (cropping, color corrections, etc.) and then sent them to CVS for printing. This is what we contracted for, so we were happy. Amika had promised to get us the flash-drive in time for the holidays, and she did. I highly recommend Amika Gair photography.
