Hello! I’m Amika.
Welcome and thank you for you interest in my wedding photography (and elopement photography, too!)
A wedding celebrates your love for one another and allows others to celebrate with you. Let me take the journey with you so we can created a memorable wedding day that will be well documented with photographs that will be cherished for years to come. My job on your wedding day is to fade into the background and capture all the emotions, the dancing, the toasts, and of course the joyous tears and laughter. I love my job and I’m extremely grateful to have the opportunity to work with you on your wedding day.
My own life experiences remind me that memories aren’t perfect. They fade and are reborn and, in some ways , live the life of a phoenix. Each time a memory changes perhaps it becomes more vivid…more real…just more. I strive to cement these memories and hold onto their vitality through my wedding photography.

About Amika Gair
Amika Gair discovered her passion for photography while pursuing her BA in Fine Art at Mount Holyoke College. She learned for on an analog camera before purchasing a digital camera to travel across Europe. Her extensive traveling in Europe and across the United States honed her eye and when she returned to New England she began working with noted wedding photographers. While working as the second photographer for these photographers, she discovered that she loves photographing love stories. A love story unfolds delicately and imprecisely and she strives to capture the in-between and grand moments that sew the entire story together.
In 2015, Amika decided to pursue her MFA in California at the Art Center. Her time on the west coast invigorated her love to compose and push the boundaries within the genre of fine art photography. However, in 2016, Amika decided to take a break from academia indefinitely to continue capturing and creating memorable wedding moments with a sense of humor all the while.
